A Note From Maria
For more than 40 years, I've dedicated my career to understanding skin, educating professionals and creating formulations that genuinely make a difference. Every brand I've created has been inspired by a belief that healthy skin is built through knowledge, innovation and a commitment to never stop learning.
Today, I'm proud to be the founder of O COSMEDICS, NEUROCOSMEDICS and INSKIN.CO. Each brand was created with a different purpose, but all share the same foundation: evidence-based skincare, professional expertise and a commitment to healthier skin.
Building Brands With Purpose
I've never believed in creating skincare simply for the sake of another brand. Every business I've built has responded to where I believed our industry needed to go next.
In 2007, I founded O COSMEDICS, introducing the Cosmedical® category and helping redefine professional skincare through evidence-based formulations. As our understanding of the relationship between the skin and nervous system became clearer, I created NEUROCOSMEDICS to explore how supporting the skin's natural communication pathways could lead to healthier skin. Later, INSKIN.CO was developed to make trusted professional skincare more accessible for consumers seeking expert guidance at home.
Together, these brands represent different chapters of my career, united by one goal: helping people achieve healthier skin through science, education and purposeful formulation.
Why I Created INSKIN.CO
Afterdecades of developing professional skincare, I noticed something was changing.
People had more products to choose from than ever before, yet skincare was becoming increasingly confusing. Ingredient lists grew longer, routines became more complicated and marketing often overshadowed what really mattered: healthy skin.
That's what inspired me to create INSKIN.CO. A collection that brings decades of professional skincare knowledge into simple, effective routines for everyday skin without breaking the bank.
Forty Years Of Perspective
When I began my career, professional skincare looked very different to what it does today. I've had the privilege of seeing our industry evolve through advances in cosmetic chemistry, clinical research and a deeper understanding of skin biology.
One thing has remained constant: innovation only matters when it genuinely improves skin health. Every brand I've created reflects where I believed professional skincare needed to go next—not because it was fashionable, but because the science supported it.
The Philosophy That Guides Me
After more than four decades in professional skincare, I've learnt that healthy skin isn't built by chasing every new ingredient or trend. It's built on understanding the skin, respecting its biology and formulating with purpose.
I believe education is just as important as formulation, every ingredient should earn its place and every product should solve a genuine need. Those principles have guided my career from the very beginning and continue to shape everything we create at INSKIN.CO.
Looking Ahead
Receiving the Australian Beauty Industry Awards Hall of Fame honour in 2025 was an incredibly proud moment, but my greatest motivation has always been helping people achieve healthier skin.
As skin science advances, my commitment is to advance with it. I'll continue refining our formulations and embracing discoveries that genuinely improve skin health—not because they're new, but because they represent a better understanding of the skin.
The science will continue to evolve, but the philosophy behind everything I create remains the same: formulate with integrity, stay grounded in evidence and always put skin health first.
